Questions
Do I need to download the app to plan?
No. Plan, edit and share from any browser. You need the app for the trip itself: logging, scanning, offline and settling up.
How does my web plan get into the app?
Tap “Take it on the trip” on your plan. It opens the plan in the app, or takes you to the store first if the app isn’t installed.
Do my friends need the app?
Not to view the plan: the link opens in any browser. To join the trip and split spends, they use the app.
Is it really free?
Yes. Free includes unlimited trips and expenses, split and settle, offline logging, Trip Fund, one Buddy plan each month, and ten receipt scans each month. Buddy Pro adds unlimited planning, receipt itemization, and offline maps.
Which currencies?
DollarBuddy supports the currencies returned by its exchange-rate service. Log in the local currency and the app keeps the home-currency value using the rate for that expense.
Does DollarBuddy move money?
No. We keep score and open your payment app with the amount filled in. We never hold funds.
